The Twins trailed the Tigers 2-0 and had just one hit through five innings before erupting for five runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a mammoth grand slam from rookie slugger Matt Wallner.
The ball had an exit velocity of 111 mph and went an estimated 450 feet.
Wallner is up to nine homers on the season, hitting them all in a span of just 38 games. Pro-rated over the course of a 162-game season and it projects to 38 homers.
